James Meyer is a commercial real estate investment and asset management professional with over 12 years of experience across acquisitions, portfolio strategy, leasing execution, and capital formation, working for both institutional ownership groups and entrepreneurial operating platforms. Prior to joining Nome, James co-founded Solana Investment Group, a commercial real estate operating company focused on acquiring and repositioning value-add office assets across the Western U.S., where he evaluated over $500M in acquisition opportunities. Before Solana, James served as Portfolio Manager at MGR Real Estate, overseeing a 2.5M SF institutional office portfolio. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly four years at Newmark as Director of Agency Leasing, representing institutional landlords across a 3M SF Class A/B office portfolio and negotiating over 400 lease transactions. James has been hands-on throughout his career, building strong relationships with brokers, tenants, and ownership groups while creating value through disciplined underwriting, proactive leasing execution, and asset-level business plan implementation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Oregon and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of California.
